Woodbridge Town Council Press Release

Tell a friend

After many months of negotiation, Woodbridge Town Council has finally signed a Deed of Memorandum with Suffolk Coastal District Council to take over ownership and responsibility of the public conveniences at Elmhurst Park.

In September of last year, Suffolk Coastal District Council carried out a review of public conveniences across the whole District and marked those at Elmhurst Park for closure.

The Town Council who owns and maintains Elmhurst Park, did not own the public convenience building, but immediately stepped in to secure the future of these conveniences in this regional and national award winning park, and has accepted a one-off payment of £8000 from the District Council to go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the building.
