Photograph by Top Floor Studio, WoodbridgeResidents and visitors to Woodbridge on two days in August will be able go back in time, and see the sights of the historic town from a horse-drawn carriage. On Saturday 4 and Saturday 25, two Suffolk Punch horses will draw an 18-seat carriage on a circular route between Woodbridge station and Market Hill.

The rides will operate between 11.0am and 4.0pm, and the prices for the round trip (Station and back to station) are just £2 for adults and £1 for children under 12. One-way trips (Station to Market Hill or vice
versa) will be £1 for adults and 50p for children.

The Suffolk Punch Heavy Horse Museum on Market Hill will be open on both days from 11.0 am to 4.0pm, and the Town Museum (also on Market Hill) from 10.00 to 4.00pm.

The trips have been organised by the Woodbridge Town Centre Management Group. The Group's Co-ordinator, Marion Wells, said: "The horses are a huge attraction, and will encourage people to visit the town and explore its historic Market Hill and Riverside areas. "We are grateful to the Suffolk Punch Trust at Hollesley Bay for operating the service, and enabling us to maintain the links between Woodbridge and the Suffolk Punch horses."
