According to the Woodbridge Chamber of Trade and Commerce, electrical power in the Thoroughfare from Woolworth's down to New Street will be switched off from 9.00am to 4.00pm on Sunday 29 January.
This is because the sub station at the back of 11 Thoroughfare (the new development by Woolworth's) needs to be replaced to cope with increased demand for power. This job was postponed to avoid impacting the Christmas shopping period.
