Mother was Shirley Woodbridge, 3rd daughter of Oswald Howard Woodbridge, Doctor of Dentistry, Medicine, Maxillo-facial surgery, Plastic Surgeon, eventually gentleman farmer in Tanganika, and Ixopo. He served in the trenches of WW1 and in Malta, as a plastic surgeon, in WW2. Divorced and left for Africa. Passed away late 1970's. 4 daughters 2 sons to first wife; Sylvia, Richard, Margaret, John, Shirley, Patricia Anna. 3 daughters and 1 son to second wife, Ruby. Valerie, Janet, Linda and David.

My father was John Woodbridge and he was born in Oxford, England. He was born there on February 26, 1945 and has since passed. I now live in the United States and do not know any Woodbridges. I would love to know more about our ancestors. I assume the name came from Woodbridge in England. Love to hear from a Woodbridge!
I have the married name Balsera now but I am and will always be a WOODBRIDGE!

My part of the Woodbridge Clan hails from Stanlake in Oxfordshire, where they were farmers and grain merchants. Our knowledge of the 'Clan' does not go further back than my Grand Father Frederick James who married a Spanish jewess and was kicked out of the family.
When 'FJ' died in the great flue epidemic WW1 the family was brought up by wife and the Matriach in Shoubryness Essex, who snubbed a nose to the family.
Frederick Gordon my father was a 'boy' member of the RAF joining up at the age of 14.
Bernard his brother was sent to Maidenhead Grammer School where he stayed with other members of the family. How about that for a fractured family! Can any one add more colour.

i have quite a bit of information re Robert's family right up to present day it is quite a large family with an extremely interesting story to each and every member of the Woodbridge family. However I know nothing of Robert's family before him being deported to Australia. I would be very interested if someone knows anything further.

I am looking to under take the mammoth task of trying to put together the Woodbridge family tree, at least from starting from my emendate family. The complicating factor for this project is that I only have a few clues to go on. One being that my family name is Frederick, and that Frederick Gordon Woodbridge was my grandfather who married Ann Minns. They had four children Jimmy, Jane, Simon and Robert. My grandfather was a very keen footballer in his time and sadly passed away a few years ago. If there is anyone that could help with any information it would be very helpful.
